Do you see what he has in his beak? Yes, that is a Cheerio. I fed the wild chickens my Cheerios almost daily while I was on vacation. The chickens were the highlight of the trip, the mosquitos were the low point!
Here is a painting that I'm working on...it's still a WIP (work in progress.) There is more to the picture but I cropped him for this post. I'll post the full image when it is done. (Oops he is done now and I have not posted as yet...must be more diligent with my blog updates!)

Bridget!
Were you in Kauai? He looks a lot like the chickens in Travis' pictures and with the ocean behind him I just wondered. Hope you had a great time wherever you were! The painting is so realistic and once again, I really admire your talent.

I'd be jealous of your trip except for the rain and the allergic reaction to mosquito bites! Guess I did better staying home for sure, lol!
Yes, the date is June 2nd, at least it is unless Jake gets his way. He wants to get married sooner and he keeps bugging Kaje' to elope! Now, be still my heart. I told Kaje' she won't elope if she wants me to keep having a good relationship with Jake. His mother told them she'd give them $2000.00 if they eloped and I guess he really wants the money. The date has significance to Kellianne so she really doesn't want to change it. We're having trouble finding a venue we can afford for the wedding though. This is all new to me bz the other two were married in the temple and I don't have to pay for that. She's chosen a civil ceremony so we need a place to hold it, but at least there's no reception. I'm sure it will all work out but right now it's frustrating us both. I'll keep you posted!

P.S. Thanks for your thoughts on Travis about the lunch. You're such a sweetheart to even think of doing that. I swear I've met the nicest people in blogland and you're right up there at the top of them. Do you still keep in touch with Schmecky? How is she? I lost touch long ago. I remember she had two really cute little girls.
Hi Bridge! OH, he looks marvelous! He'll remember you for life for feeding him Cheerios every morning! :)Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Since my blog is public I won't be posting the date he's coming home until after he's home but I'm happy to share with you on your blog. He flies in a week from Friday on the 16th and he speaks in church on the 18th. I'm not counting days yet (everyone else is doing that for me) but I'm still saying a week-and-a-half! Until it's single digits I just can't do it. I honestly can't believe it's real and finally here. I've been so fortunate.
Thank you Bridget for commenting on my blog. It's meant a lot to me. I don't have any idea what I'll blog about once he's home. I lead a pretty dull life except for the occasional Kaje'ism or Savannah and Bailee antics.
Thank you so much for your kind words. When it's important to my kids I do pictures but they're not my most favorite thing to do in the world, lol!
I hope you have a Merry Christmas also. I don't even mind working today since I took so much time off when Trav came home. He's certainly worth it but I have no idea what I'll blog about now until Kaje' gets married.
Thanks again for stopping by and always being so encouraging.
How's the painting going? Hope all is well in your little corner of the world.
Cindy
