Still Painting!

Here are my newest paintings...

This one of the fish didn't turn out quite like I had planned but live and learn. Next time I won't make the same mistakes!  I had planned to soften the edges around the masked area but the color I used in the water was a very staining color and it didn't want to budge.

This was painted from a photo that I took at The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. I have several photos from that outing that I'm planning to paint a "series" one of these days!

This final piece is something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I took this bowl that belonged to my grandmother and bought what I thought was the prettiest produce in the store to create this painting. That orange pepper cost $3 and I don't even eat peppers, oh well, it was really pretty! There is actually more white space to the right of the bowl, this image is just cropped because I just slapped it on my scanner and got as much of the image as was possible.

I don't know what you're talking about with the fish!? I think you need to just send it on down to Texas where it'll have a good home! :) Buffie
